Dear Colleagues and Friends!
I would like to welcome you оn behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the
Russian Federation.
A lot of events are planned to hold in 2013 within the frame of the Year of the Environmental
Protection in Russia. These events are aimed at drawing attention of the general population, business-
communities and executive authorities to the problems of the Nature conservation.
The constant development of modern Russia depends on the ecological security of the population as
well as conservation and restoration of the Environment.
The solution of the problems of Environmental protection demands a system approach and hard
work. We can see the results of the last year such as statement of the number of basic laws including the
conceptual document – The Principles of the State policy in the sphere of the ecological development
of the Russian Federation until 2030. Furthermore a number of federal and regional target programs
are being implemented now – they are aimed at restoration and protection of the natural resources of
our country.
Today we have an exceptionally important goal – stimulation of the implementation of the modern
resource-saving and environmental technologies, providing the ecological safety of our Planet.
It is important to note that the ISSE 2013 is the negotiation platform for new perspective contacts, it is a
place where the tasks are indicated and their practical solutions are demonstrated.
I wish you a constructive work, interesting meetings, realization of new creative ideas, success in
achieving your goals.
