Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision
(Rostekhnadzor), I warmly welcome guests and participants of the VIII International Integrated Safety &
Security Exhibition 2015.
Today, the evaluation of the technical condition of technological equipment and control of the
safety of works carried out at hazardous production facilities are becoming especially relevant issues.
Indicators describing the situation with industrial safety in the sphere supervised by Rostekhnadzor are
stable enough: the accident rate and the number of fatalities in 2014 decreased by 15% and 18%,
respectively.
Within its competence, Rostehadzor is implementing a set of measures to ensure sustainable
economic development and social stability, including the expansion of the framework for a risk-based
approach to oversight activities, the establishment of remote industrial safety monitoring mechanisms,
the elimination of inconsistencies in the regulatory framework and excessive requirements, improvement
in supervisory activities and procedures.
The Integrated Safety & Security Exhibition 2015 enables representatives of public authorities and
organizations in industrial safety industry to jointly discuss current safety issues.
Events, included in the business program of the Exhibition, offer participants the opportunity to share
experiences, come up with new solutions to pressing problems, and find common ground in addressing
challenging problems.
