The General Editorial Office of the Ministry of the
Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies
and Elimination of Consequences of Natural
Disasters creates a unified informational space for
the publication of expertise in the areas of civil
defense; the protection of people and land from
natural and human-made hazards; and the rescue
of victims of accidents, catastrophes, natural disas-
ters, military conflicts and terrorist acts.
Its publications include the journals “Firefighting”
(est. 1894), “Civil Defense” (est. 1956), “Fire and
Rescue Service” (est. 2003), the newspaper
“Rescuer of EMERCOM of Russia” (est. 2001) and
the web portal mchsmedia.ru.
